Am I the only Christian who is weirded out about the fact that Christmas is a much more celebrated holiday than Easter?
From what I have read, Christmas Day is actually the day ancient pagan people thought was the birthday of the Sun God. And the traditions are mostly pagan traditions we have adopted. I can see how Jesus Christ can be seen in it all, but for this to be a holiday more celebrated than Easter is mind boggling to me.
Jesus’s Resurrection seems to be more important than his birth. Maybe that’s just my opinion.
Anyway, it won’t stop me from having fun and loving on friends and family. There is definitely hope found in celebrating Jesus’s birth.
